It has been reported that there was an increase in the amount of police officers killed in the line of duty recently in our country. Five law enforcement officers died by gunfire in four days in different cities, which is a significantly high rate for less than a week’s time period. We are dismayed by this report yet are given further passion and urgency to partner with communities and law enforcement to ensure safe communities for all involved.
