Residents of Washington D.C. weren’t the only ones facing the elements to make their way out from the snow last week. The Metropolitan Police Department was seen in all parts of the city keeping a smile of their faces as they went to great lengths to help stranded motorists. Officers dug out cars stuck under the 20 inches of snow, and Chief Lanier was seen joining officers to help push a police cruiser through the snow-covered roads. The police may have gotten stuck like the rest of us, but that didn’t stop them from continuing to protect, serve, and help our communities. We are glad to see that the department hasn’t lost their sense of humor after working in all that snow.
